JPRD is modernizing its communication platforms with a mobile app and website. In addition, as part of the 2021 next-level initiatives, the department has decided to enhance communication with the public by offering places for readily available communications. A primary focus of 2021 was procuring the app and website while training staff for an early 2022 launch. JPRD’s new website launched in December of 2021. The website hosts an event calendar, class and program information, forms, park and facility information, pictures, rental information, and the seasonal program guide. The new mobile app will launch during baseball/softball season in March of 2022.
