JPRD held its first live stream to raise awareness on coronavirus and answer questions about the vaccine and its effects on teenagers. Director Mario Bazile and Chief Administrative Assistant Sarah Babcock sat down August 10 to discuss misconceptions, accessibility, and facts about the Covid vaccine for young people. The live stream was JPRD’s first attempt to reach the public regarding getting vaccines and a call to parents by the department for everyone to do their part to save each other from spreading contagions. Babcock advised everyone to fact check their information and to know that memes are not factual information. She requested everyone find two sources for their information and visit jeffparish.net to find vaccination sites and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
