As part of the department’s mission to increase employee morale, JPRD has started several clubs for employee participation.

Fishing Club
The fishing club started September 7 at Bonnabel Boat Launch. Employees came out to enjoy a morning of fishing and community. JPRD also held a raffle of prizes that consisted of a fishing pole and various bait types. The following fishing club event is on December 3.

Volunteer Club/ Beautification Days
JPRD continues to pride itself on community service back into the playgrounds. We have completed service events at Mike Miley Playground (September 17) and Oakdale Playground (October 8).

JPRD Pelicans Nights
A night of wins for the Pelicans and JPRD as employees flew to the Pelican’s game against the Dallas Mavericks for a fun night. The October 25 game was the first of several JPRD Nights at the Pelicans. The next match is on November 21.
