Little Farms Playground Parking Lot Ribbon Cutting

by | May 1, 2021

Councilman District 2 and the Recreation Department celebrated the completion and beautification upgrades to Little Farms Playground. The ribbon-cutting ceremony held on March 11 unveiled the $204,227.73 project, consisting of the parking lot with 24 parking spaces, including ADA accessible spots and drainage with a five-foot-wide sidewalk, LED lighting, a seven-foot cedar fence, and planted flowers. The new parking lot provides parking closer to the facilities and keeps cars from parking down the street. Councilman Deano Bonano stated, “I know how much of a pain it was to try to park to play against Little Farms- hauling baseballs and bats three to four blocks away.” The new parking lot allows visitors to park closer to the building and keeps visitors from trekking blocks to reach the playground.
