We are equipping employees with the knowledge and skill to work safely. JPRD’s Presentation Series tries to provide weekly informational seminars to employees to enhance their understanding of skills. One of those seminars offered was LCMC Health’s Stop the Bleed class, a joint venture with the Spirit of Charity Foundation, LSA Health New Orleans, and the Tulane University School of Medicine. According to LCMC Health, “Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.” As a result, some JPRD tier-one employees and interested parties learned how to safely administer life-saving efforts for themselves and others in the case of an emergency. The employees went through both classroom and hands-on instruction. The Stop the Bleed Program, gave them certificates of completion.
