Estelle Playground is the home of Privateers, the pride of Jefferson Parish. Nestled in the heart of the Jean Lafitte National Historic Park’s Barataria Preserve, Estelle Playground serves as the focal point for the community. Our facility provides sports and recreation activities for citizens of Jefferson Parish spanning all generations. From the toddlers on the Tot Lot to the boys and girls on the 4-field baseball complex to the modern multi-sport gym our playground buzzes with activity every day. We pride ourselves on creating a fun and safe space for the entire family to enjoy all that the Jefferson Parish Recreation Department has to offer. “Privateer Pride” is the motto we believe in, so come on over to Estelle Playground and join the Privateer Family.

Room Rentals

Shelter Rentals
All facilities are a three hour minimum with a one hour free set-up included. Alcohol requires a police detail at $40 an hour with a 4 hour minimum. All bookings hosted after 7pm require a police detail. Renters must be in the shelter by 11:00 a.m.. Park users must rent a shelter if the use of a spacewalk or party equipment is used.
