Nicholson Playground is a community based park located on 11th St. off of Westwood Dr. Nicholson has been offering activities since the 80’s to the families of the west-side of Marrero. Nicholson has been a great gateway for years for the kids of community to fellowship in sports and learning how compete against other playgrounds of Jefferson parish. We try to teach them to do their best, which will allow them to accept wins, loses or draws.
Nicholson hosts JPRD’s youth athletic programming. The facility has baseball fields, a tot lot, tennis courts, and a meeting room for rentals.

Room Rentals

Shelter Rentals
All facilities are a three hour minimum with a one hour free set-up included. Alcohol requires a police detail at $40 an hour with a 4 hour minimum. All bookings hosted after 7pm require a police detail. Renters must be in the shelter by 11:00 a.m.. Park users must rent a shelter if the use of a spacewalk or party equipment is used.
