Terrytown Golden Age center is the only Golden Age Center on the Westbank, housing two Golden Age clubs; Terrytown Golden Age Club and THETA Golden Age Club. The center is handicap accessible from the automatic entrance to the push button bathroom doors. The center has the technology essentials for holding meetings or giving presentations: An overhead projector, surround sound speakers, a flat-screen tv, wireless microphones with the audio station, and a Blu-Ray player wired directly to the projector. This building has a large kitchen area, big enough to prepare meals for fifty-plus people at a time. No Golden Age Center would be complete without mentioning the new bingo board and machine that our Golden Agers love. In addition to housing two clubs, this building is also the site of the Terrytown Civic Association meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday nights, the Golden Age Center runs Westbank Developmentally Disabled Population programs and classes throughout the year.
