Johnny Jacobs Pool is a 3.5-4 ft deep pool for children and adults to enjoy with YMCA-certified lifeguards on duty. Take a swim lesson, join the swim team, or come for a day of public swimming at the pool!
Lafreniere Park Spray Park is a splash pad for children ages 10 and under. The park features 13 water features for the ultimate day of fun.
Parc des Familles Spray Park is the Westbank splash pad for children ages 10 and under. The park offers water bliss during the hot summer days with 16 different water features to enjoy.

Lafreniere Spray Park
3000 Downs Blvd, Metairie
The Lafreniere Spray Park is 4,000 square feet of fun for children 10 & under. It has 13 water features including water cannons.
Hours of Operation
The park is open daily daily May 25th – August 9th
- Daily: 12pm – 7pm
Daily Fees
- $5 per person (Splash pads are always free)
The fee includes 90-minutes of play time. The spray park has a capacity of 75.

Parc des Famillies Spray Park
6101 Leo Kerner Lafitte Pkwy, Marrero
The Parc des Familles Spray Park has 16 water features that include a water ring, fill n spill and water flower.
Hours of Operation
The park is open seasonally for children ages 10 and under on the following schedule:
- April 8- May 14: Weekends only (Hours: 9a.m.-5p.m.)
- May 15 – August 13: 7 days a week (Hours: 11a.m.- 6p.m.)
- August 19 – September 3: Weekends only (Hours: 9a.m.- 5p.m.)

Swim Lessons
Swim lessons are available during the summer months at Johnny Jacobs Pool. Group lessons are available.

Classes are limited to a maximum of 5 adults per age group per time.

Strong Swimmers
Each swim session consists of six 45 minute lessons. Check out our catalog for swim program times and dates. Classes are limited to 5-10 students per age group.
Teen & Adult Swim Lessons
Each swim session consists of four 60 minute lessons. Lessons are on Sunday mornings. Check our catalog for swim program dates and times.
Swim Team
Our JPRD Swim Team is a new program offering opportunities for competition and skill development to swimmers ages 6-17 years old.
Practices will be held at the YMCA in Metairie for the Eastbank swim team and at Johnny Jacobs Pool for the Westbank Swim team.
